Little Falls Goes Wild to Support Community

Our Little Falls locations decided to share their donation with Pine Grove Zoo. Based in Little Falls, MN, Pine Grove Zoo has been part of the community since 1907, though it got its start as a park! The first animals at the park were two great horned owls purchased by the Park Committee in 1913. Today, the Zoo is home to a range of animals including bison, elk, tortoise, tigers, cougars, bobcats, otters, red & arctic foxes, black bears, wolves, monkeys, zebras, kangaroos, a variety of birds, and more.

The donation will help support a new education presentation area. According to Marnita Van Hoecke, Zoo Director, "We are remodeling a building, and area surrounding this building, so that we would have an area to do our educational programming. Our building will be the new home for our outreach ambassadors that we take out to senior care facilities, schools and other organizations that cannot visit the zoo.”

Pine Grove Zoo works to promote education and conservation while also striving to be a progressive zoo. Their vision is “To have families and individuals live their lives with passionate respect for the entire realm of the natural world.” We’re proud to support Pine Grove Zoo and the work they do in the Little Falls community. We're looking forward to seeing their impact in the community for years to come.
