Santiago is a small township located in Sherburne County, close to the Benton County border. While we often think of larger communities having people in great need, it can be very challenging for those who need help to find support in rural areas.
Our Santiago location selected Foley Cross Center for their donation. Foley Cross Center is a volunteer-operated organization that aids residents of Benton County who are experiencing short-term difficulties. Assistance is provided regardless of race, color or creed for those who qualify. They work to meet a variety of community needs including food shelf, clothing and household goods, and more. Their website shares that their food shelf served over 750 people, distributing over 131,000 lbs of food. They also provided school supplies for nearly 100 children. Their holiday gift programs provided toys to 47 families, and their giving tree program impacted another 82 families. Additionally, they are a resource for information, referrals, and support for those who need it. Foley Cross Center has been proudly serving the community for over 40 years, and we’re proud to support the fantastic work they’re doing to help the surrounding communities.
